Dr. Jason Treadway, Director of STEM Institute, Dallas College, ASME Faculty Advisory Council
“ASME’s CCEP program helped to address some of the student challenges. Many students are first generation college students, who do not typically have access to mentors or professionals to guide them with career decisions. They were able to connect with professionals and to receive resources to help them prepare for their careers. The Student Section helps build a sense of belonging and provides a sense of community and ASME helped me expand my connections. By leveraging and marketing ASME resources in partnership with Dallas College, we may convince a student to attend Dallas College rather than another school.”
