Drones are becoming an integral part of autonomous inspection and maintenance. However, the rules and regulations for operating drones are still in their infancy. As drone technology advances, governing bodies like the Federal Aviation Administration will usher in new guidelines on using drones in open spaces. Art Hinaman, technical support branch manager for the FAA, talks about the latest uses cases for drones and how the FAA is creating new regulations.
