Founder, Engineers of Tomorrow

Erica Lee Garcia is a professional engineer with over 20 years’ experience in automotive manufacturing, mining, non-profit management, and entrepreneurship. She is a Six Sigma Black Belt, professional change agent, innovator, and big-picture thinker, as well as an enthusiastic mentor and coach.

Since 2011, Erica has worked with companies on achieving operational and company cultural excellence through Six Sigma, Lean and Continuous Improvement tools through her consulting business. She has significant cross-cultural work experience and fluency in English and Spanish. Erica founded Engineers of Tomorrow, a non-profit organization that inspires the next generation of engineers through effective, strategic youth outreach in 2018.
 
In addition to her lived experience as a woman in engineering, she has studied the science behind why women are underrepresented in engineering and other STEM fields. She has given talks, led sessions, and designed programs to help women tap into their engineering identity, and overcome obstacles to their belonging and success in engineering.
